He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roland Massey, Sr. and Willie Ricks Massey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Coker Massey; and his children, Lisa Massey Lynch of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Tammy Massey Jenkins (Andy) of Jackson, NC, William R. Massey III (Robin) of Pleasant Hill, NC, Bentley Massey (Barbara) of Wilson, NC, Al Massey of Denver, NC, Michael Massey of Phoenix, AZ and Brent Massey (Patricia) of Emerald Isle, NC. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and his sixteen great grandchildren.
