He was predeceased by: his son William "Bill" Campbell; his mother Theda Spears Campbell; and his sisters, Sherry Pauley, Karen Sizemore and Andrea Sue Goode.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Brown Voncannon; his children, Theda McIntosh (JC) of Carthage, Rachel Bowman (Brian) of Candor, Jacey Campbell and Victor Campbell (Joann) of Cheraw, SC; his stepsons, Joseph Voncannon of Robbins and Aaron Voncannon (Stephanie) of Asheboro; his sisters, Daphne Morgan of Avondale, WV and Pattie Lindsey of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Thomas Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Bethany Futral, Joshua Cagle, Ashley Cagle, Zhela Shodja, Zackary Saaverda, Jimmy Brown, Sabrena Brown, Logan Campbell, Jennifer Campbell and Ian Campbell; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Futral, Lucas Campbell, Delaney Campbell, Elliott Brown and Damien Campbell.
