He was predeceased by: his parents, David Shrum and Lorene Shrum; and his brother Gary Shrum. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Shrum; his son Eddie Shrum (Lori) of Biscoe; his siblings, Brenda Buchannan of Winston-Salem, Alvin Shrum (Cathy) of South Carolina and David Shrum (Kay) of Lincolnton; and his granddaughter Felicia Winfree.
