With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip Lamar Burke (Robbinsville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Burke and Nellie Loggins Burke; his brother Bill Burke; and his close friends, Claude Holloway, Frank Cooper, Jewell Postell, Louie Postell and Ronald Postell.
He is survived by : his wife Doris Matheson Burke; his children, Aaron Burke and Phyllis; his son-in-law Chris West; his brother Vernon Burke of Robbinsville, NC; his stepgrandsons, Tyler West and Jordan West; his stepgreat-grandson Caiden West; and his close friends, Mike Carton, Coot Millsaps, Bobby Johnson, Wallace Matheson, Jimmy Turpin, Vance Jordan and Kenny Postell. He is also survived by Dog that has been his faithful companion for many years.
Due to the risk of exposure to COVID 19, face coverings and social distancing are required for those attending the graveside service.
