With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Dail Matthews of Robersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. L. Dail and Elizabeth Briley Dail; her former husband Buck Haislip; her husband George F. Matthews, Jr.; and her siblings, Bill Dail, Ellen Meeks and Ophelia Keeter.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Haislip Brannan (Jim) of Raleigh, NC, Ellis Clifton Haislip, Jr. (Kim) of Laurel Hill, NC and Bart Lutzenhiser (Kathy) of Bonney Lake, Washington; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Hanes (Josh) of Clemmons, NC, Tonya Lutzenhiser of Portland, Oregon, Taylor Lutzenhiser of Tacoma, Harry Marks (Kathleen) of Raleigh, NC, Todd Brannan (Angie) of Raleigh, NC and Aaron Haislip of Greenville, NC.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
For the safety of all, the family requests face masks be worn by attendees to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
