With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Bennett Gardner of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ishmael Bennett and Ida Bennett; her husband William Gardner; and her daughter Glenda Gardner Alfonso. She is survived by: her children, William "Bugs" Gardner (Carolyn) of Rockingham, Ronnie Gardner (Sherry) of Rockingham, Linda McLendon (Chunk) of Mt. Gilead, Trudy Dawkins (Michael) of Rockingham, Johnny Gardner (Kay) and Roger Gardner (Martha) of Mt. Gilead. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
