She was predeceased by: her parents, John Andrew Jackson Lowdermilk and Marietta Baird Lowdermilk of Morganton, NC; her husband Warren Franklin Deaton; and her daughter Laura Deborah Deaton Gordon. She is survived by: her children, Warren Franklin Deaton (Patsy), Joel Lowdermilk Deaton, Judy and Lisa Deaton; and her grandchildren, Laura Poole, David, Karen Shryock, Mike, Brian Deaton and Peggy. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
