He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Stephen and Minnie Cook Taylor; his wife Billie Mills Taylor; his son William Stephen Taylor; and his siblings, J. B., Robert, Dan, Moyer, Ted, Ned, Jimmy Taylor and Nancy Taylor.
He is survived by: his son Richard (Verona) of Williamston, NC; his granddaughters, Laura Boyd (Brad) and Kathryn Jarvis (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Emma Boyd, Anna Boyd and Logan Jarvis; and his siblings, Rex Taylor (Jean) of Rockingham, Audrey White of Rockingham and Doris Morrison of Warner Robins, Georgia..
Due to the Covid 19 concerns, no service is planned at this time.
He was member of Rockingham's First Baptist Church for many years, and the family would suggest that any memorial contributions be made to the church.
