He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward Lillard and Mary Bernice Smart Lillard; and his stepson D. J. Overton. He is survived by: his wife Trudy Owens Lillard; his daughters, Loticia Woods and Angela Simpson of Eden; his stepdaughters, Melissa Beasley of Chesterfield Co and Amy Dalton of Greensboro; and his brother Herman Lillard of Martinsville, VA.. He is also survived by eight grand children, one great-grand child.
