He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Levi Goins and Edith Clara Beasley Goins; and his brother Wayne Goins. He is survived by: his wife Sally Darlene Goins; his brothers, Dennis Goins of Sanford, Joel Goins of Charlotte and Edward Goins of Mt. Airy; his close friends, Roger Stewart, Sam Tucker and Tommy West; and his son Will Bostick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
