He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Grace, Luther Cassidy, Albert Jernigan Sr. and Gladys Boone (Burt). He is survived by: his parents, Melvin Cassidy and Lucy Cassidy of Hamlet, NC; his wife Carolyn; his children, Brandon, Charles Wayne, Destanie Jordan (Nick) of Pikeville, NC and Cloie Hicks of Jacksonville, NC; his grandchildren, Cayden and Erilynn Jordan; his brother Kevin Cassidy (Jessica Dunn) of Hamlet, NC; and his close friend Koby.

Mr. Charlie fought a long battle with COVID pneumonia for 16 days, but never gave up.
