He is survived by: his great grandchild Jordyn "BooBoo" Bradshaw; his wife Jennie Bell Jumper Carter; his children, Lindsey L. Hayes (Norma), Douglas M. Carter, Jr., Teresa Carter and Pamela Carter Price (Lester); his grandchildren, Jermaine L. Carter, Christopher O. Carter (Balaun), Lindsey L. Hayes, Jr., Trenellia Hayes Whittaker and Jasmine K. Price; and his siblings, Mary L. Broadnax, Gloria J. Miller, Cassandra Carter, Alice Martin (Jerome), Lillie Butler, Bobby Carter, Samuel Carter, Jerry Powell and James Powell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
