She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Dockery and Elizabeth Williams Covington; her daughter Suzanne DeSha; and her sister Hannah McGee. She is survived by: her husband Edward Thomas; her daughter Diane DeSha Gilday (Daniel Gilday) of Newbury Park, CA; her sister Betsy McCullen of Clinton; her brother-in-law Dr. Jerry McGee (Marcella) of Charlotte; and her stepchildren, Teresa Thomas Parks and Eddie Thomas (Gail Thomas) of Cookeville, Tennessee. She is also survived by niece and nephews, step-grandchildren, and cousins.
