He is survived by: his sons, Eric Blackwell, Joel and Joseph Atwater; his grandchildren, Ilyana Blackwell and Jaslyn Lettermore; his mother Queen Thomas Blackwell; his siblings, Gail, Tonya Blackwell, Marlin Blackwell (Patricia), Charles Blackwell, Kevin Blackwell and Daryl Blackwell; his aunt Ollie Thomas; his cousin Andrea Narain; and his close friend Dorenda Rucker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
