We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2023, at the age of 89, Gwendolyn Cardwell Reid of Rockingham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father George Cardwell; her husband Franklin Reid; her siblings, Harold, Milton Cardwell, Margaret Rudisill and Kathryn Vernon; and her friend Patty Pruitt.

She is survived by: her caregivers, Don Pruitt and Judy Boyd; and her nephew Kent Vernon (Mindy).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Mayodan Building Fund, 101 S. 1st Avenue, Mayodan, NC 27027.
