He is survived by: his children, Mike Poplin of Hamlet, Luanne Diggs (Talmadge) of Rockingham, Harold Hines Jr. (Kandice) of Greensboro and Chris Hines (DeeDee) of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Michael Poplin (Melissa), Rodney Hines (Wendy), Nicole Goodwin (Jason), Joel Layton (Kate), Taylor McDonald (Chris), Hailey Hines (Andrew) and Cody Diggs; his great grandchildren, Alex, Kalli Poplin, Terry Poplin, Austin Brock, Serra, RJ Hines, Layton Mae, Charlie Goodwin, Abby Grace and Caroline Layton; and his brother James T. Hines of Bennettsville, SC..
