It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Collins Chandler Jr. of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Collins; his former wife Delores Chandler; and his cousins, Chuck, Bill and Walter Norris.
He is survived by: his mother Ila Alice Stout Chandler; his wife Lois Chandler of Rockingham; his children, Jeannette Chandler, Resa Chandler (Amy Stringer) of Lake Toxaway, Alice Dixon (Kevin) of Granite Falls, Jamie Chandler, III of Hickory and John Chandler (Kim) of Hickory; his cousins, John, Eddie, Tom and Sally Norris; and his grandchildren, Chayse Chandler, Piper Dixon, Ryan Marshall, Adam Chandler and Kerri Murray. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (205 S Rutherford St, Wadesboro, NC 28170).
