He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Doss and Mattie Cornell Doss; his former wife Claudette Gay Benfield Doss; his siblings, Douglas Doss, Charles Doss, William Doss and Helen Grogan; and his daughter-in-law Sherri W. Doss.
He is survived by: his fiancée Emily Boing of Reidsville; his children, Thomas L. Doss of Reidsville and Susan D. Faircloth (Dennis) of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Caitlin Gay Doss of Madison and Haley Susan Salas (Brandon) of Madison; his great grandchild Izabella Salas; and his sisters, Barbara D. Knight of Reidsville, Brenda Wingfield of Reidsville and Allyson Boing of Winston-Salem.
The family requests that masks be worn and social distancing be observed at the graveside service.
