He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Wilson Dickerson and Rosevelt Dickerson; his daughter Stephanie Winchester; and his sister Virginia Bigelow. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Blackstock, Mattie Dejournette, Coletha Simpson, Rosevelt Dickerson, Jr., Wille Lee Dickerson, William David Dickerson, Joseph Dickerson and Margaret Dickerson; his wife Wyvonne Lawson Dickerson; his children, Cheryl Marie Mc Curdy (Charles), Shelia Dickerson, Zawanna Withers (Robert), Princess Dickerson, Kenneth Dickerson (Virginia) and James E. Dickerson, Jr.; his siblings, Elmer Jack Dickerson (Rosetta), Miller Millner, Shenna Harrison (Cephus), Edna Parsons and Gwendolyn Whitt (Vincent); his nephews, Walter Mullins, Eugene Dejournette and John Mullins; and his friends, Johnny Neal and Jasper Broadnax. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; a host great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
