He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee and Mary Viola Terry Watson; his sons, Timothy Wayne Watson and Michael Clifton Watson; his daughter-in-law Wanda Rummage Watson; and his siblings, Reverend Tommy Lee Watson, Nellie Watson Cochran and Norma Jean Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Reynolds Watson; his pet Heidi; his son James T. Watson, Jr. (Terry) of Charlotte, NC; his daughter-in-law Kim Kelly; his grandson Tony Watson (Alyssa) of Cincinnati; his siblings-in-law, Mavis Watson Gibson, E. B. Reynolds (Alice) of Centerville and Cynthia Reynolds Cooper (Charlie) of Aberdeen, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Denise Reynolds Bartolon, Kim Watson Bauer, Amy Wallace, Sherri Watson West, Vann Reynolds, Tommy Watson, Jr., Steve Wallace, Duane Cochran, David Cochran and Chap Wallace.
