It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Sweatt Patrick (Rockingham, North Carolina), who passed away on April 16, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Sweatt and Clara Sweatt; and her siblings, Mildred McDonald and Cam Sweatt. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry; her children, Kevin Patrick and Tanya Mercer (Gene); her siblings, Burley Sweatt, J. B. Sweatt, Donna McDuffie, Sandra Tucker and Jane Black; her sister-in-law Patricia Steele (Mitchell); her grandchildren, Trey Gathings, Brett Gathings and Zachary Patrick; and her great grandchildren, Alexis, Lewis and Clara Gathings. She is also survived by three grandsons, a great-grandson, & two great-granddaughters.
