He is survived by: his wife Mary Mebane Carter; his children, Michael Mebane (Trinice), Shelia Mebane, Eddie Mebane (Penda), Frank Mebane (Angela), Latoya Vann (Marchell), Natalie Mc Master and Adrienne Mc Master; his siblings, Mary Louise Broadnax, Gloria Jean Millner, Cassandra Carter, Alice Martin (Jerome), Lillie Butler, MacArthur Clark (Jennie), Bobby Carter and Samuel Carter; his close friends, Dr. John B. Doe, Daniel Blackwell and Edward Clark; his pets, Tiny Carter, Blue Carter and Raine Carter; and also Hamid Kamara. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
