He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Lee Russell and Johnnie M. Russell; his wife Ruth Mills Russell; and his sister Mae Lois Hollis. He is survived by: his brother Allen B. Russell; his children, Derek Russell (Pinkie), Carolyn Nimmons (Jonathan), Randy Russell and Sandy Russell; his stepchildren, Leon Mills and Wanda Noble (Mike); and his brother-in-law James Mills (Betty). He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
