She was predeceased by: her parents, Genola Howard Alverson and Jake Alverson; and her siblings, Julie Mae Blackstock and Frank Alverson. She is survived by: her brother Edward; her husband Henry Mc Duffie; her son Marvin Alverson (Geraldine); her grandchildren, Nicole Danielle Mitchell, Mary Eliza Mitchell Nelson (Antoine) and Dashae Galloway; her great grandchildren, Essence Morris, Kasim Morris and Jaquela Williamson; her siblings, Fannie Alverson, Jake, John, James Will and Henry Alverson (Betty); and also John Alverson. She is also survived by 5 great-great-grandchildren.
