She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary E. Bowen and Willie J. Bowen (Bill); her husband Benjamin P. Powell, Sr.; her sister Eucal Bowen; her son-in-law Terry McPherson; and her great grandchild Gavin Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou McPherson and Ben P. Powell, Jr. (Susan) of North Myrtle; her grandchildren, Amber Powell Reynolds of Rockingham, Benjamin Powell, III (Shannon) of Charlotte and Christy Cromer (Wesley) of Socastee, SC; her great grandchildren, Brittney Vazquez (Santi), Aliyah Reynolds, Brady, Addison Powell, Nicolette and John Wesley Cromer, Jr.; her great great grandchildren, Bentley Goodwin and Delaney Vazquez; and her brother Willie Bowen (Bridget) of West Columbia, SC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, a graveside service will be held this week at Northam Cemetery Extension.
