It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Theretta Benoist of Rockingham, North Carolina, born in Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Buster Steen and Sue Teal Steen; her husband Ronald Benoist; and her siblings, Brady Steen, Ray Steen, Annie Ruth Watts, Debra Smith and Linda Sturdivant.
She is survived by: her sons, Dwayne Benoist of Rockingham, NC, Jerry Benoist (Laura) of Rockingham, NC and Butch Benoist (Joann) of Tabor City, NC; her grandsons, Jackson and Austin; and her siblings, Daisey Steen of Thomasville, NC, Wanda Nunn (Larry) of Norman, NC, Teresa Steen of Rockingham, NC, Lisa Steen of Society Hill and Brenda Prevatte (Frank) of Bennettsville.
Due to COVID-19 the family ask everyone to wear a mask and following CDC guidelines when visiting them at there home.
