He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Dawkins and Florence Easterling Dawkins; and his wife Naomi D. Dawkins. He is survived by: his siblings, Perry, Bruce, Roy, Carl, Ray, Ned, Mary Grace Hackney, Mattie King and Josie Hall; his daughters, Nancy King of Laurel Hill and Teresa Gardner (Mel) of Holly Springs; and his granddaughter Ashley Strangman (Mat) of Wilmington. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
