It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Witherspoon of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Eli and Louise Goodman Chappell. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Witherspoon; her sons, Wayne Witherspoon (Cindy) of Shelby, NC, David Witherspoon (Regina) of Rockingham and John Witherspoon; her sister Brenda Watts (Mickey) of Bolles Harbor, Michigan.; her grandchildren, Chance Witherspoon (Colleen) of Shelby, Brian Witherspoon (Victoria) of Rockingham, April Witherspoon and Justin Witherspoon (Erin) of Shelby; and her great grandchildren, Kelton, Sawyer, Miah, Graeme, Elayna, Lily, Conner and Maggie Witherspoon.
Due to COVID-19 a private family funeral service will be held at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church.
The family has requested that all memorials be made to Richmond Co. Hospice 1119 US Hwy. #1 N. Rockingham, NC 28379.
