She was predeceased by: her parents, Ousie Lee and Sarah Pennell Murphy; her husband Ernest Hoke Wilhelm; her son Linn Eugene Wilhelm; and her siblings, Hoyt, Alfred, Harlan, Allie Alley, Vernice Brawley and Billie Davis.
She is survived by: her son Vaughn Wilhelm (Nancy) of China Grove; her siblings, Duard Murphy of Concord, Larry Murphy (Edie) of Murrels Inlet, Willaree McDuffy of Raeford, Nathalene McCorkle of Landis, Gayle Stack (Tony) of Kannapolis and Vivian Murphy of Mooresville; and her grandchildren, Rev. Mark Wilhelm (Julia) of Indianapolis, Susan Wilhelm of Indian Trail, David Wilhelm (Jill), Jason Wilhelm (Lucian) and Jessie Wilhelm. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
