She was predeceased by : her parents, William Clyde Helms and Addie Robinson Helms; her husband Curtis Franklin "Sam" McManus, Jr.; and her sister Jane Orr. She is survived by : her daughters, Becky Broadway (Chuck) of Rockwell and Wendy Steen (Brad) of Rockwell; her grandsons, Matthew Broadway (Amber) of Harrisburg and Drew Steen of Rockwell; her great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Madison Broadway of Harrisburg; and her siblings, JoAnn Phillips of Harrisburg, Judy Allen (Jimmie) of Concord, Lewis Helms (Avie) of Concord and Gary Helms (Fran) of Midland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The McManus family requests that memorials be made to Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 13659 Hwy 601 South, Midland, NC 28107.
