He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Eddie Bone and Metta Rae Leonard Bone. He is survived by : his wife Robin Ann Smith Bone; his sons, Daniel Nelson Bone (Terri) and William Eddie Bone (Heather); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Bone, Zachary Bone, Jared Bone, Hunter Bell and Allyson Jackson; and his sister Brenda Hagerman (Bob).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
