He is survived by: his wife Cindy Smith; his children, Christina Smith Peckat (Donald, II) of Anchorage, AK, Kayce Smith of Raleigh, Jason Benson (Heather) of Denver, CO and James Benson (Katie) of Battleboro; his grandchildren, Bella Wooldridge, Abigail Benson, Tyler Benson, Leland Benson, Hayden Benson, Kenzie Benson and Eliza Smith; and his siblings, Gary Smith, Clifford Smith, Jr. and Renee Smith Passmore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
