He was loved and cherished by many people including : his former life partner Virginia Ruth Falkenbury; his parents, Lena Annette Lasseter Murphy and Andrew Thomas Murphy; his wife Mary Helen Goodloe-Murphy; his brother Joseph Murphy; his children, Marion Elizabeth Erickson (Kenyon), Katherine Annette Karn (Tim), Hanover Courthouse, Patricia Lynn Murphy (Rick) and Andrew Thomas Murphy III; the mother of his children Virginia Ruth Aronson; his grandchildren, Moriah Margaret Karn, Louisa, Timothy Samuel Karn (Lucy), Alexander Murphy Erickson, Theodore Logan Erickson and Lydia Grace Erickson; and his great grandchild Cu Chulainn Orion Bruce. He was also cherished by parents and later foster parents and children.
