She was predeceased by : her parents, Flossie Lyon Settle and Ernest Clifton Settle; her husband Hilery White Holbrook; her son Melvin Holbrook; her siblings, Lawrence Settle, Clarence Settle, Clyde Settle, Max Settle, Ray Settle, Harvey Settle, David Settle and Ester Holbrook; and her grandson Patrick Shane Sizemore.
She is survived by : her children, Janis Sizemore of Ronda, Gary Holbrook (Patricia) of Ronda and Fay "Sissy" Barber of Dobson; and her brothers, Jack Settle (Pat) of Lenoir and Avery Settle (Louise) of Elkin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
