She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Odell Chasten and Ethel Mitchell; her grandmother Butler Chasten; her husband Roy Edward Teachey; her children, Roydale Teachey (Krystal), Edwina Burnett and Zelda Teachey; her sisters, Sandra Bethune, Edith Smith, Vanessa Hughes and Jeanette Sellers; her siblings-in-law, Wanda McMillian, Nancy Teachey, Doris Lisane, Lois Teachey, Joyce Lopez and Earl Teachey (Mary); her close friends, Rebecca Croom and Tasheena White; and her cousin Felicia Dobson A. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
"Trisha Ann" as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Duplin County Public School system, and graduated from Charity High School in the Class of 1965. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Charity Church, Rose Hill, North Carolina until her health began to decline.
