He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Carson Edge and Bessie Ellis Edge; and his siblings, Frank Terry Edge and Clara McCabe. He is survived by: his wife Edith Matthews Edge; his children, Angela Cannady (Wayne) of Harrells, Peggy Crumpler (Jimmy) of Stedman and Raymond Edge of Stedman; his grandchildren, Victoria Crumpler, Anna Caitlin Paylor (Steven), Savannah Crumpler Baroody (Alex) and Christopher Cannady (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ellie Claire, Jackson Paylor, Levi and Elliott Cannady.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (401 W Roseboro St, Roseboro, NC 28382). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel (6535 Clinton Rd, Stedman, NC 28391).
