He was predeceased by: his parents, Murdock Strickland and Isabell Darden Strickland; his wife Lyzett Evans Strickland; his daughter Wanda Webb; and his siblings, Robert Strickland, Fred Strickland, Monroe Strickland, Clyde Prevatt, Horace Strickland, Sally Hogg, Minner Locklear, Beulah Poston, Florence Johnson and Letha Rollins.
He is survived by: his daughter Kay Chamberlin of Fairmont, NC; and his grandson Lonnie Webb, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
