He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney W. Parris and Lula "Ruby" Taylor Parris; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Roach and Wanda Roach. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Roach Parris; his aunt Betty T. Luther of Columbus, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Roach (Janet) of Rutherfordton, Johnny Roach of Rutherfordton and Brenda McFarland (Danny) of Forest City. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews and by a host of cousins.

Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
