She was predeceased by : her brothers, Johnny Bradley, Jr. and Michael Bradley. She is survived by : her parents, Johnny Bradley and Mary Van Deventer; her children, James Penland of Rutherford County, Wayne Penland of Alaska, Ashley Penland of Asheville, NC and Tiffany Cates (Jason) of Texas; and her sister Mary Ann Head (Raymond) of Rutherfordton.
