She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie D. Bass and Tempie J Bass; and her siblings, Bernice G. Bass, Newberry Bass, Crafton D. Bass, Johnson Bass, Howard Bass, Shelton Bass, Lonnie Bass, James Milton Bass, Crotia Blanchard, Irma Peterson and Alease Compton.

She is survived by : her husband Joseph Gardner Royal of Salemburg; her brother Carl G. Bass of Clinton; and her children, Denise Lane of Salemburg, Joseph Royal (Sarah) of Salemburg and Ramby Royal (Cathy) of Stem. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
