Ellis Van Tew Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2025, at the age of 88, Ellis Van Tew of Salemburg, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Ellis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ellis' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Tew; and his son Lewis Tew. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Barber (Charles); his granddaughter Emily Best (Jake); his great grandchild Edie; and his sister Jeanette Cashwell.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church (395 Vander Rd, Salemburg, NC 28385).
