She was predeceased by : her parents, Seavy Fann and Dixie Crumpler Fann; her husbands, Fredrick Strickland and Earl Farthing; her parents-in-law, Otto and Roxie Strickland; her sister Helen Herring; her siblings-in-law, Fred Herring, Ed Quick, Jasper Boone, Cranford Fann, Charles Strickland, Peggy Boone and Elizabeth Ann Fann; her stepdaughter Cathy Conover; and her stepson-in-law Duke Conover.

She is survived by : her children, Lynnette Wilson (Tom) of Salemburg, Kettrell Strickland (Sharon) of Clinton and Clay Strickland (Gina) of Clinton; her stepson Earl Farthing, Jr. (Tonya) of Kure Beach; her sister Mildred Quick; her siblings-in-law, Louise Fann (John), Pauline Strickland, Sue Strickland, Bobby Strickland and Jefferson Strickland; her grandchildren, Trey Tyson (Kendall), Phillip Strickland (Danielle), Forrest Strickland (Laura), Thomas Pope (Courtney), Catherine Ward (Eric) and Fredrick Strickland; her stepgrandchildren, Cashwell Roberts (Phillip), Davis Farthing, Chandler Farthing, Aaron Conover and Linda Catherine Conover; and her caregivers, LeShanda Rodriguez and Constance Hunter-Stewart.
