It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Atkins Brinegar of Salisbury, North Carolina, born in Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Conrad Atkins and Annie Ayers Atkins; her son Jeff Brinegar; and her siblings, Pat Saunders, Lou Fairbanks and JT Atkins.
She is survived by : her husband Walter Leroy Brinegar; her children, Frank Brinegar (Pat) of Salisbury, Edward Brinegar of Gold Hill, Connie McCombs of Rockwell and Debbie Goodman of Granite Quarry; her daughter-in-law Karen Ratelband (Martin) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Deidre Powell, Tonya German (Daniel), Natasha Brinegar, Melanie Goodman, Heath McCombs, Nickalaus Goodman and Adam Brinegar (Carrie); and her great grandchildren, Caylynn Westberg, Bella German, Bryant Stewart, Brock Stewart and Triston Brinegar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
