She was predeceased by: her husband William A. Cruse; her parents, Rev. Henry Brown Barger and Cora Mae Hoyle Barger; and her siblings, Samuel, Clifford, Thula Huffling, Virginia Watson, Bernice Poole, Marie Barger, Ruth Cartner Marly and Muriel Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, William A. Cruse, Jr. and Steven Aldon Cruse (Susan); and her sister Freda Basinger. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rowan Memorial Park (4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147).
