He was predeceased by: his parent Sidney Madison Lawson; and his siblings, Chris, Jimmy Lawson and Debra Collins. He is survived by: his wife Tabbatha Goins Lawson; his son Ryker Wayne Lawson; his mother Hazel Medley (Garfield); and his siblings, Thomas Lawson (Tina), Cindy Lawson (Dale), Shelia Smith (Ronnie) and Ethel Pyrtle.
