She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Simmons and Eula Mae Johnson Simmons; her husband John W. Callahan; her children, Kenneth Darryl Jones and Carolyn Faye Jones; her siblings, Norris Simmons (Nannie), Mary Lynn S. Baker Warwick and Bruce Simmons (Shirley); and her pet Jay.
She is survived by: her daughter Bridget Lankford (Charles); her grandchildren, Kalan Lankford (Ariel), Michael Jones (Marina) and Shawn Stephens (Christi); her great grandchildren, Austin Charles Lankford, Mason Dixon Stephens and Kelly Stephens; her daughter-in-law Debbie Stephens Jones; and her friend Sandra Stephens. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home (509 Carthage St, Sanford, NC 27330). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
