He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Upchurch and Bethina Upchurch; his son Jason Bernard Upchurch; and his grandson Casey Sellers. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Upchurch of Sanford, NC; his children, Randall Upchurch, Sr. (Theresa), Cassandra Upchurch of Sanford, NC, Cynthia Pearson (Pierre Sr.) of Sanford, NC and Delphine Cameron Davis (Terrance) of Raleigh, NC; and his daughter-in-law Tangela Upchurch of Vass, NC. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A reception was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 706 W Rose St, Sanford, NC 27330.
