She was predeceased by: her parents, Junious Curlin Sloan and Viola Mansfield Sloan; her husband Melvin "Buck" Buchanan; and her siblings, Margaret Sloan Womack, Geneva Thomas, Jack Sloan, Ervin Sloan and Bill Sloan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Buchanan Baker (Danny) of Sanford, NC and Rebecca "Becky" Buchanan Coltrane of Wake Forest, NC.; her sister Mildred Sloan Stone of Broadway, NC.; her grandchildren, Geoffrey Coltrane (Sneha), Bryon Coltrane (Shirley), Stacey Baker Burris (Drew), Daniel "Big Shot" Baker (Morgan) and Eddie Baker of Sanford, NC.; her great grandchildren, Asha, Devak Coltrane, Kip, Kowen, Kora Grace, Kaleb, Kinley Coltrane, Bryson, Calleigh Baker, Jase and Cole Burris; her sibling's children, Sherry Womack, Donna Sloan and Sammy Stone; and her friends, Danny and Peggy Baker.
