She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Ethel Mae Whitley Newcomb of Wilson County; her brother George Newcomb; and her nephews, Daniel Mayo and George Thomas Clay Newcomb.
She is survived by: her husband Buddy Mumford; her son Allen Mumford (Ashley) of Eureka; her grandchildren, Ileanna Mumford, Nathan, Kolby and Corban Mumford; and her siblings, Dorothy Mayo (Dennis) of Bailey, Tommy Newcomb (Peggy) of Rocky Mount and Brian Newcomb of Raleigh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
