He was predeceased by : his father Vance Swindell; his son Joel Skinner; his grandparents, Vance Swindell, Sr., Betty Swindell, Marvin and Myrtle Neal; his uncle Marvin Neal; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Nora Harmon.

He is survived by : his wife Pamela Swindell; his sons, Robert Skinner and Gregory Skinner (Meyze); his grandchildren, Ava, Greyson and Izabel Skinner; his siblings, Debbie Jolly and Derrell Swindell; his niece Raven Faviuer; his nephew John Jolly; and also Barbara Swindell.
